NOV 21st WORKSHOP: LEARNING SHIBARI - FUNDAMENTAL PROGRESSION LEVEL 2
Beautiful and engaging, Shibari elegantly blends aspects of BDSM with traditional Japanese rope art. It can be practiced in an intimate setting, but also as a form of physical practice which can be soothing and relaxing for both the person tying (top) and the partner who is being tied (bottom).
This workshop is aimed at anyone looking to progress in their shibari journey. It provides a deeper understanding of the fundamental building blocks and demonstrates how to apply them to create ties that are both beautiful and playful.
With a focus on connecting with your partner and enjoying the process, we will cover the main following aspects:
1. Safety refresher
2. Various hitches and their application
3. Principles of rope tension
4. Tying to a fixed point for restraint
The demonstration and practice include a basic chest harness to show how knots and hitches can be creatively pieced together to form a tie as well as simple leg and arm binding ties, as time allows. While relevant for both tops and bottoms, the material covered in this workshop is mainly for tops. We encourage you to come as a pair with a friend or partner to take full advantage of the hands-on practice.
*** This class is part 2 of a two-class progressive. Email [email protected] for 15% off if you'd like to attend both workshops!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Charles (he/him/his) has been practicing and studying Shibari for over four years.
What began out of simple curiosity evolved into a form of self-expression, which he enjoys capturing through his camera lens. While his knowledge and skills were mainly acquired through books and online tutorials, he seeks to expand his practice by continuing learning from other Shibari artists.
