Tata Cepeda is the director of the Escuela de Bomba y Plena Doña Caridad Brenes de Cepeda and has taught generations of Bomba practitioners. As a member of one of the leading, historic families who preserved Bomba traditions in Puerto Rico, Tata Cepeda is one of the living matriarchs of Afro-Puerto Rican Bomba, the oldest Puerto Rican music and dance form of resistance and liberation.
