This promises to be an intense evening full of music, joy and healing. Come and experience the magic of Afro Ecstatic Dance…
About this Event

This is a Black History event organised by Melanin Health & Wellness which aims to celebrate, honour and heal the past Transgenerational trauma experienced by our ancestors through drumming workshops, spoken word, art, gong bath, dance with Afro House DJ and traditional ceremony…

30 drums will call the ancestors to come dance with us and break the chains by sending powerful healing energies across time, releasing both them and us.

At the start of the evening each drum will be given a name of a West African Tribe and will represent their voice as they are played. During the welcoming ceremony libation will be poured to welcome and honour their presence.

Spoken word will represent their story, and your dancing feet will represent their joy!

The Afro House DJ will help you fly, allowing you to explore the exhilarating feeling of moving your body without restriction.

You are invited to play, flow, connect with the ancestors whilst you stretch, unwind, and release your power through movement. Enjoy unleashing the wild dancer within you, free from judgement as you surf the vibes and beats of Africa!

Collectively we all hold the responsibility of maintaining a safe and respectful welcoming and embracing space, which offers the opportunity to enjoy your right to free expression of emotions and movement to music.
