Ready to dive into Afro Dance?
This class is perfect for anyone who loves to move, enjoys the music and is curious about the amazing world of African street dances like Azonto, Naija Pop, Coupé Décalé, and Afrohouse.
No need for dance experience – just bring your passion for music and a willingness to learn, and we’ll build from there.
Here's what you'll discover in class:
*Cultural awareness*: get to learn and understand more about Afro dances’ roots and rhythms, and history so you’re in a better position to fully practise the dance.
*Body awareness*: get to rediscover your body through exercises like body isolations, coordination, rhythmic combos, and accessible footwork.
*Step by step*: from simple steps to footwork patterns, you'll develop and expand your movement vocabulary.
*Musicality*: understand and practice rhythm and timing, so your moves flow effortlessly with the music.
*Feelings first*: Dance from the heart, focus on the fun, and let loose! It's all about enjoying the journey and connecting with a community of like minded movers like you.
