We will explore and learn the technique and concept of playing an array of Cuban percussion instruments, such as the conga drums, bongos, claves, maracas, guiro, cowbell, shekere and more. We will discover how these instruments are orchestrated and arranged in to nummerous musical styles, such as, son, bolero, cha cha cha, mambo, rumba guaguanco and more. These traditional Afro Cuban rhythmic expressions have permeated practically every musical genre in American and the world! All levels of experience welcomed. All instruments will be provided.
