An Immersive experience that feels like a traditional ceremony, with live drums and singing.
For practitioners and non-practitioners.
OUR THREE MAIN GOALS
1. Preserve the tradition as best as we can.
2. Give as much context is possible.
3. Leave the class feeling better than you came in.
Jonathan Burke,
Orisha practitioner, drummer is the primary class instructor and has committed himself to not only Afro-Cuban Orisha dance but all aspects of the tradition song drum and initiation. A natural teacher with the patience to train beginners and seasoned dancers. Whether it's one or forty students, Jonathan takes time to ensure that everybody gets the individual attention that helps them learn and feel confident about their movement.
We will keep this living history and folklore is, genuine, accessible and preserved for generations to come.
