Join us for an African Stamping Postcard workshop hosted by Theresa Polley-Shellcroft and T. Faye Griffin inspired by Deborah McDuff William’s exhibit, 'Stolen Identities: River Routes to Freedom.' Two workshops available: 11am-12:15pm & 12:30-2pm.Learn about the symbology of Sankofa, an expression of Twi language from Ghana. Understand about the artistry of using Ghana Adinkra symbols to create your own message of inspiration and hope. Both sessions will cover fabric and paper stamping. Materials and aprons will be provided.
Regular museum admission applies. General admission is $10 (adult), $8 (military or senior), $7 (student), and $5 (child ages 6 to 12). Museum Foundation members and children five and under are free. Museum galleries will be open during the event. The museum is accessible to persons with disabilities and parking is free.
