Come to The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery for an unforgettable experience of rhythm and culture. Madula Drumming facilitators Mr. Will, Mr. D and Ade, talented drummers trained in Africa, will lead us in an interactive drumming session that will transport you to the heart of the continent. Feel the beat, learn traditional rhythms, and immerse yourself in the vibrant sounds of Africa. No experience necessary, just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to drum the day away!
Join Staffordshire based Madula drumming in this FREE djembe drumming workshop. Beginners and more experienced players are welcome to this taster in playing traditional West African rhythms.
Madula delivers creative & cultural workshops, performances & projects for children, young people & other community groups in North Staffordshire & The Midlands; and to develop social cohesion, empower individuals & community groups and reduce isolation through music, dance and other creative engagements.
Since 1998, Madula has worked with many thousands of people & hundreds of community groups from across The Midlands, principally through the medium of African and Brazilian percussion, song & dance; more recently including additional creative activities such as composition, studio recording, DJing & graffiti.
