In these two-hour drumming sessions, we’ll create a space for you to discover and explore the beat of your own soul.
Dele will share with you his rich drumming knowledge from his motherland, Nigeria, and you will have the opportunity to play drums from his extensive private collection.
***Feel free to bring your own djembe if you have one.
Drums play an important role in every aspect of life in Africa, including physical, emotional and spiritual dimensions.
They are played to communicate, celebrate, mourn and inspire, in times of peace and war, planting and harvesting, birth and death and in many other ceremonies.
Through drumming, we connect to Mother Earth and the natural rhythms of life within us, and bring stagnant energy into movement, which is then released and transformed.
And it is great for your core and hips!
You are free to move and dance to the drums if you feel the impulse.
We awaken and align with Shakti energy in the African way!
