About this Event

Join Kofi (Paul) Osei to learn to play some simple patterns and rhythms on the djembe drum in a friendly and supportive environment. Whether you're a beginner or a skilled drummer you'll have fun and learn something new. Instruments will be supplied.

Originally from Ghana, West Africa, Kofi has been teaching and performing in Western Australia for over 20 years.

About Akwaaba

Akwaaba means 'welcome' in the Akan language from Ghana. Established in 1996, Akwaaba's vision is to use traditional African drumming and music as a tool to promote harmony and cultural understanding within the community.

Akwaaba entertains audiences with energetic, powerful and interactive performances, drum circles and workshops.
