CLASS OUTLINES:
INTERMEDIATE (Level 2)
For players with at least 1 year of djembe instruction under their belts. This class focuses on deepening your knowledge and skills in playing West African music. You work on getting consistent sounds, and on improving dexterity and confidence with a range of time signatures, along with more complex calls, breaks and solos. We cover playing djembe along with the dun dun ensemble.
There are periodic public performance opportunities throughout the year so we do spend some time each lesson going over rhythms we've learnt previously.
Terms and Conditions:
I provide access to a YouTube playlist which contains videos of all learning materials. These are uploaded following the classes in which new material is introduced. That allows you to learn all of the material at your own pace whether you attend classes or not.
If you can't make any number of face to face class due to travel, and any consequences of your travel, or if you are unwell then you still have access to the material and no refund or credit is due.
If due to serious ill health or other extenuating circumstances you're not able to continue with face to face classes after or before commencing the term then we can talk about a reasonable resolution, which may include course credit or refund of the unused amount.
To create the best learning environment, class size will be capped
