This year's annual food event, not only coincides with Leeds's vibrant West Indian street carnival it promises to be bigger and brighter
Why? It aims to bring together over 25 + food, drinks and craft stalls under one roof to celebrate the culinary skills, and flavors of Africa and the Caribbean, brought to you, by our very own esteemed culinary chefs.
So what's it all about?
Leeds, African, and Caribbean Food Fest, now in it's 4th year celebrates the rich and diverse culinary traditions and skills of the African and Caribbean people. It aims to bring together foodie lovers, chefs, and cultural enthusiasts from across the city and beyond.
Our independent culinary chefs will be showcasing an array of traditional African and Caribbean dishes each with its unique blend of spices and flavours.
From spicy jerk chicken to savoury jollof rice, curry mutton with rice, ackee with fried dumplings you name it. The food fest will offer a wide variety of dishes that will take your taste buds on a tropical journey like no other.
Entertainment on the day
Pop-up carnival parade, resident DJ playing the very best in soulful grove, and steel pan orchestra will be pinging those calypso tunes.
Sweet Desserts and Pop-up cocktail bar
It doesn't just stop there, it gets better don't forget to save room for sweet desserts – sweet Jamaican treats like coconut tarts, rum cake you name it.
To wash everything down. Yes! you guessed it our personalised pop-cocktail bar. Will be back with us again serving up a mixture of red, yellow, and green, mean lean tropical cocktails.....
