From 1970 to 2019, almost five decades later, African Americans have successfully pioneered and championed various genres of the American Cinema landscape. From great legendary directors like the late Ossie Davis to the new brilliant twentieth century creative filmmakers like Jordan Peele, "diverse audiences worldwide have enjoyed scary and suspenseful thriller movies made by Black creators."
