Africa Djawa meaning "Africa Rejoicing" is a one-of-a-kind festive community event designed to increase the knowledge of and cultural pride in traditional and modern African cultures through a lively colorful African performance.
Africa Djawa promises to immerse audiences in a multicultural world rarely available through a single cultural event. Local national and international artists will tell stories of community diversity and respect through dance and drumming performances. Come watch as the African Culture Connection artists walk you through a captivating African story of cultural beauty and traditions.
Doors open at 5:00 pm for VIP guests and event sponsors who will be joining us for a traditional African dinner. Doors open at 5:45 pm to the general public followed by our evening performance at 6:30 pm. Come early to socialize and shop in our "African Village"! Several local vendors on site will sell traditional African art crafts clothing and jewelry.
