Ep release: Harry Merry
& a performance by composer Ard Bit
December 14, graphic designers Auke Triesschijn and Niels Vrijdag will launch their first joint riso magazine at Roodkapje. Their art will be shown, and musicians they worked with as art work designers will perform.
Friso van Wijck’s Candy Container is the jazz ensemble of composer/drummer Friso van Wijck.
Friso composed a.o. For Asko/Schoenberg Ensemble, Nieuw Ensemble, Doelen Ensemble, Mondriaan String Quartet, Doelen String Quartet and the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra. Tonight Candy Container will release their debut album.
Art Bit is the artist project of Ard Janssen. A composer, sound designer and field recordist who creates audio sculptures which are subtle, layered and characterized with great detail. His musical forms come about through free improvisation and systematic composition with a focus on minimalism.
Harry Merry is Harry Merry. The guy with the keyboard who created his own kind of pop music. He will turn a huge smile on your face, or annoy you to death. Whatever happens, you won’t forget him. Tonight he will release his new ep, which will be the first in a series he’s working on.
