Purpose
Celebrate the 77th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the UN General Assembly in Paris, France on 10 December 1948.
- Affirming the continued relevance of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights -- 77 years later these rights continue to be denied or are under attack around the world, including in our own country.
- Affirming that human rights are a moral and spiritual issue.
- Calling on the faith leaders of the Rochester community to act: educating their congregants about the moral and spiritual issues and encouraging their action to defend the rights of all people to be safe and able to thrive.
