In an increasingly polarized world, and at a time when the financial resources needed to achieve sustainable development goals are constantly growing, the role of the various financial players is of crucial importance.
In line with its mandate, AFD Group supports and works towards accelerating sustainable and fair transitions in the countries where it operates.
This action is made possible by resources raised on the markets. The Group's sustainable bonds make a major contribution by channelling resources to projects with the greatest environmental and social impact, benefiting the most vulnerable communities.
In 2014, AFD was the first French agency to issue a climate bond, and since then this sustainable issuance program has gone from strength to strength.
The event is organized around two panels dealing with the mobilization of capital to developing countries for sustainable development and the role of the Paris financial center in sustainable finance.
This will be followed by a presentation of the AFD Group's new SDG bond framework and the mechanisms in place within the Group to ensure the sustainability of its projects.
An open discussion and a cocktail will follow.
