Mr. Nicholaus H. Saacks assumed duties as Deputy to the Commanding General of the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) in April 2025, serving as the command’s senior civilian leader and principal advisor. In this role, he leads the development of vision, objectives, and strategies for an integrated C5ISR-M enterprise, providing oversight to a global workforce of more than 9,000 employees across 12 countries and 86 sites, and managing an annual budget exceeding $2 billion in support of the joint warfighter.

Previously, Mr. Saacks served as Deputy Program Executive Officer for Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors, overseeing 1,700 personnel and more than 83 Army acquisition programs. A Senior Executive Service member since 2022, he has held multiple leadership roles within Army acquisition and sustainment, including Deputy PEO for Command, Control and Communications-Tactical and Director of Readiness Management for PEO C3T, where he helped field the Integrated Tactical Network and advanced Army transition-to-sustainment policy. He holds an MBA and BS in Business Administration from Spring Hill College and is a graduate of senior Army and acquisition leadership programs.
