About this Event
The Architecture Foundation of BC is excited to be working with Janaki Larsen Studios to host the first event of it's kind, the AFBC Model Exhibition: Contemporary Craft.
This event will showcase a curated selection of architectural models alongside the works of local artists of all mediums. Participants and attendees are asked to reflect on the exhibition's theme of Contemporary Craft: where do traditional techniques of building and making appear in the work and process within today’s highly digitized industry?
Join us for opening night on October 17, to mingle with the participants and see the curation of craft. Welcome drinks courtesy of Fisher Paykel.
Note that if you can't make it to opening night, the exhibit will be open through the weekend (October 18th and 19th) from 10 am - 2pm, access is free to the public.
The AFBC has curated the model selection and Janaki has curated our artist submissions to be displayed together in Janaki's beautiful studio space at 1706 W 1st Ave. Please enter through the loading bay door on Pine Street.
