Join the Australian Forum for Acoustic Ecology for an afternoon of connection, listening, and creative exchange at the beautiful Maroochy Botanic Gardens. Falling just after the ANAT SPECTRA 2025 :: Reciprocity conference, this in-person gathering brings together artists, researchers, and listeners from across the country to share knowledge and perspectives of listening, ecological awareness and sonic exploration.
Schedule:
🔸 12–1pm – Informal lunch and conversation (BYO or enjoy the adjacent café)
🔸 1–3pm – Creative work showcase in an octophonic array featuring recent soundscape and ecoacoustic compositions
🔸 3–4pm – Listening circle and open discussion
For those staying overnight, we will be organising an informal dinner nearby—let us know if you’d like to join.
All are welcome—whether you’re a long-time practitioner or newly curious about acoustic ecology, this gathering is a chance to deepen your relationship with place, sound, and each other.
