Come join us for a special information session with the Australian Education Union (AEU) and Independent Education Union (IEU)! In this 1-hour session, we will hear about the significance of joining a union, and what they have to offer current Education students in their studies. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions. Read more from the unions below:
“If you’re a student studying to be a teacher, you can be a member of the AEU and the IEU for free! Student membership remains free for the duration of your study and will equip you for a challenging and exciting career in education. Our organisers at AEU and IEU are, or were, registered teachers. We have been through what you are about to go through. Throughout your tertiary journey, you will be supported by your university for your studies, but who will support you with actual hands-on industry knowledge and guide your decisions for choosing a school as a place of employment? Take advantage of our targeted training and courses, networking opportunities, access to professional information and advice. Come join us to hear all about what support services IEU and AEU offer pre-service teachers at this event organised by the Flinders Education Student Association.”
