AERIAL YIN & FLOATING SOUND BATHUNIQUE TO GRAVITY YOGA
Using a low hung hammock as support you will first spend time in yin poses. Yin poses are held for several minutes combined with breath work. As the body relaxes gravity gently helps deepen the pose. Yin works the fascia, the bodies inter-connective tissue, releases deep tensions and energy blocks in the muscles and connective tissue, massages the internal organs and creates space in the joints allowing the nervous system to slip into a deep, restorative relaxation.
You will then relax totally as you lie cradled in a suspended fabric hammock, supported and floating in the air, The weightlessness and support of the hammock provides a cocoon like experience while the sound bath immerses you in the vibrations of various instruments, like crystal bowls, gongs, and chimes.
The sound, vibrations and floating support help to promote a calming effect on mind, body and breath, promoting relaxation, stress reduction and clarity of mind.
