To register for this class: Download the Schedulehouse app to your smart device. Search for Aradia Fitness, click the South location. Click the "Class Sessions" tab and search for Aerial Silks Level 1.No experience necessary! This class is open to all fitness abilities! Ages 16+
This Aerial Silks Level 1 session will take place on the same day, at the same time, for 6 weeks.
We will work from supported positions near the ground first and progress to free fabrics as you learn foundational movements. You'll be introduced to inversions and climbing on the silks.
A note on conditioning: You don't have to worry about not being strong or flexible enough when starting out! But keep in mind that learning the fundamental skills will open the door to further challenge and provide enjoyment in aerials. We build upon the basics for every higher skill level - without them we risk discouragement and injury. Put the effort into conditioning in order to develop into a more motivated, confident aerialists athlete and artist.
ALLERGY ALERT:
Please note that we use ROSIN as grip for aerial silks. ROSIN can create an allergic reaction within folks that have a pine allergy. Even if you do not use ROSIN, it is embedded into our aerial silks from the use of others.
What to bring?
A Water Bottle
A ponytail or elastic band to tie long hair back
What to wear?
Tight and comfortable clothes.
Cotton fabrics are preferred as silk and synthetic clothing can cause slipperiness while on the apparatus
Please avoid wearing:
Loose clothing
Jeans
Shorts
Clothing with metal parts such as zippers and belts as this will damage our equipment
Plastic barrettes or hair accessories
REMINDERS:
Please REMOVE ALL JEWELRY from hands, wrists and ankles. Absolutely NO exceptions. If you have permanent jewelry, you MUST tape it before class.
It is likely that you will be sharing the silks with other participants.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Pre-registration is required for all classes.If you cancel;
within 48 hours of your first class, you will NOT receive a refund
within 2-6 days of your first class, you will be partially refunded as we subtract a $20.00 administration fee
with more than 7 days notice of your first class, you will receive a FULL refund
LATE FOR CLASS POLICY
Attendance will NOT be permitted if you arrive later than 15 minutes after the start time of your class. There are safety regulations we must follow during the warm up process to avoid injury. This is also to ensure minimal class disruption for the other participants.
MISSED CLASS POLICY
If you are UNABLE TO ATTEND a class, please CANCEL/REMOVE YOURSELF from the class. You can do this on your schedulehouse app or by emailing us at [email protected] to avoid a missed class fee. If you fail to do so, you will be charged $13.50+tax.
It is your responsibility to make up for a missed class within 2 weeks. You will have the opportunity to drop into another class of the same level, as long as the class is not at full capacity. Please take a look at the schedules, at any of our locations, to find a class that you are able to attend.
If you are unable to find another class time that fits your schedule, we can offer you a free practice session. The free practice session will expire within 1 month of that missed class.
