Aerial Yoga is a unique and dynamic practice that combines yoga, pilates, acrobatics and strength training, all while supported by one of our silk hammocks. It’s so much fun, bringing out a child like sense of joy, there’s an element of play, creativity and freedom. Being off the ground changes how poses feel, adding an exciting twist to your practice.During this session, we’ll explore how we use the hammock to warm up, create body awareness and alignment. We’ll practice from the ground up and challenge ourselves with simple inversions, flips, floating and climbs. There will be loads of variations. Finally slowing down and experiencing the softer side of aerial, held in your giant cocoon, for the most glorious Shavasana.
You don’t need to have done Aerial before, this can be an introduction. If you can exercise for an hour (ie: regular exercise class), and get up and down from the floor easily, this is a good indicator that you’ll enjoy this workshop and get lots from it. Come and surprise yourself…let’s fly!
