The workshop will review what the social work code of ethics has to say about advocacy. We will discuss several strategies for becoming civically engaged and for providing leadership around advocacy and policy from a social work perspective. We will review how the state government works and how to implement advocacy efforts into your practice. Participants will leave empowered to be change-advocates in their community.
