About this Event
Date: 18th July 2024, 3pm to 4:30pm
Location: Citizens Advice Brighton and Hove, Hove Town Hall, Tisbury Rd, BN3 3BQ
This bitesize introduction to Universal Credit is aimed at volunteers, staff and community leaders working directly with service users in the Brighton and Hove area. The training is free and provides an overview of: eligibility, elements, deductions, budgeting advances, migration from legacy benefits, the benefit cap and getting help with UC.
The purpose of the training is to develop attendees' skills and knowledge to help them become 'Advice First Aiders'. This means they can go back into their community and help their service users by: sharing reliable information, signposting to specialist advice services and guiding them on the next steps they need to take.
As an Advice First Aider, you will help to direct service users to the help they need for the problems they face.
