A captivating day of new and eclectic music inspired by the vast array of sounds, people and cultures of Eastern Europe, curated by musician/producer Sam Slater, featuring a special new commission, classical piano works and improvisations, stirring music from across the Balkans, Poland and even Cold War television, with strings, guitars, woodwind, piano, percussion, vocals and special guest artists.

2.00-4.00 PM- art workshop by Tereza Buskova
2-4 PM - Music workshop with song and hammer dulcimer with Karolina Wegrzyn
3.00-4.00 PM- Ukulele workshop by Sam Slater
4.00-6.00 PM Langley Rocks painting workshop
4.30-6.00 PM Live music:
*** Sam Slater, Vo Fletcher and Chris Roberts (guitars) with Percy Pursglove (bass) and Katie Stevens (kaval), new arrangements of the beautiful guitar music of Vlatko Stefanovski and Miroslav Tadic, hailing from Macedonia and Serbia, alongside some classic Django Reinhardt gypsy jazz for good measure!
*** Stella Roberts (piano)- Brilliant pianist, composer and improviser plays arrangements and interpretations based around the works of some of the greatest composers from Eastern Europe, including Bartok (Hungary) and Chopin (Poland)
*** Sam Slater- New music commissioned by Centrala inspired by travels around Eastern Europe, featuring strings, Percy Pursglove (trumpet), Stella Roberts (piano) and Katie Stevens (flutes)
*** Karolina Węgrzyn- Polish-born artist and musician draws on the sounds, folklore and cultures of south-east Poland, bringing together many influences from language, history and resettlement through her unique vocals and hammer dulcimer
