Students will explore agriculture-related organizations and discover science, technology, engineering and math (STEM)-related career pathways. Complete an exercise that promotes engagement with ag-related groups and learn about careers in farming, ranching and agricultural businesses. Speakers will open the program, followed by a lunchtime address by keynote speaker Natalie Kovarik.
From the heart of the Nebraska Sandhills, Kovarik is a 4th-generation cattle rancher and social entrepreneur who shares her ranching and family-ing story online. She is the co-host of the top-ranked podcast Discover Ag. Alongside her husband Luke, she owns and operates Kovarik Cattle Co., a cow-calf operation with a growing registered herd. Through visual storytelling and thought-provoking conversations, Kovarik is bridging the gap between rural and urban counterparts while empowering fellow producers to amplify their voices and further their legacy of agriculture for generations to come.
