Synopsis
Can any type of book be used for storytelling?
How do we bring stories alive?
Adventurers Bring Stories Alive is an interactive storytelling workshop, that shares seven aspects to bring a story alive. Participants will get to experience interactive storytelling as they learn of the various skills. Come willing to participate!
Objectives:
1) Learn techniques to bring a story alive beyond just reading with expression.
2) Gain skills in designing an interactive storytelling session.
3) Experience interactive storytelling and practice using these skills.

Target audience:
Early childhood educators

About the Facilitator:
Esther Eio hopes to bring education to life. She does so through her own curriculum company which writes curriculum, conducts training for teachers, and conducts programmes with museums and schools.
She is also an Adjunct Lecturer at National Institute of Early Childhood (NIEC), Singapore and runs a non-profit inclusive dance class.
To her, books are excellent resources to see this world and dive into different places and perspectives. Esther is a children's books author of several titles including the Becky Bunny series of books under the Families for Life.
Cancellation:
The programme can be cancelled or postponed two weeks before the programme date if the minimum number of participants is not met. Participants will be fully refunded for workshops cancelled by us.
Participants who are unable to attend a workshop they have registered for are to inform us of the reason two weeks before the workshop date. They will be fully refunded in the event of extenuating and mitigating circumstances (E.g. illness, bereavement, accidents) . Those who inform us up to 5 working days before the workshop date will receive a 50% refund. Those who did not turn up at the workshop will not receive a refund.
Upon registration, you are deemed to have read and understood the cancellation and withdrawal policy and accept the terms contained therein.
