About this Event
Adventure means something different to all of us. For some of us it is great fun and a relise for others it's a way of thrieving and getting the best out for life. We’d love it if you’d join us for this social evening of storytelling from people who have a story to tell, of adventures big and small. These have ranged from massive expeditions spanning the world, to the influence of a single walk on Dartmoor. There is no such thing as an adventure too big or small for us.
This isn’t a formal engagement; we are working to create an informal environment to connect adventurers and inspire each other for future adventures. We hope people will connect, make friends and who knows – you might end up in the middle of nowhere on an adventure with them!
This month is slightly different we are rasing money for Adventrue Therapy and all ticket sales will go straight to Adventure Thearpy. Please be generous with your tickets and help as much as you can.

"As a registered charity, Adventure Therapy exists to improve the emotional and physical wellbeing of children, young people and adults with unique health conditions, impairments or limitations through outdoor and adventure-led activities.
This means we help people with mental health conditions, learning disability, physical disability, life-threatening or life-shortening illnesses and life-changing conditions. We make a positive difference in challenging and complex lives.
We believe that everyone should have an opportunity to explore and discover; and to challenge their abilities. Our activities are filled with emotion and take place on dramatic coastlines, vibrant moorland, in stunning forests and through the visceral power of the sea.
The therapeutic benefits of time spent outdoors, in nature and adventure, should not be under-estimated. Our activities strengthen resilience and improve vitality and self-esteem. We provide a sense of accomplishment, help people who are isolated to form friendships and we create special memories for families. Our range of activities build self-confidence and develop skills and abilities, through individual and group sessions, team work and leadership.
Richard has explored many parts of the world as an expedition leader, mountain leader and overlander. Now he continues this through maps, climbing and taking groups away on various adventures.
Richard will be sharing some of his wilder stories from the many adventures he has had. This will span across a whole selection of different adventures, from the micra to the mountains.
