Hermann, MO Oktoberfest Ride (#3 – Overnighter Adventure)

🚲 ~100 miles round-trip on the Katy Trail
This is it—the big one. Our first overnighter. This two-day bikepacking trip takes us on a scenic out-and-back ride along the Katy Trail to Hermann, Missouri—just in time for Oktoberfest celebrations on Saturday night!
We’ll be fully loaded for the weekend: food, water, sleeping gear, cookware, the works. If you’ve been itching to try a real bikepacking setup, this is your moment. We’ll provide a full prep list and host a gear night before the ride to walk through everything together.
What to bring:
✔️ Helmet (required!)
✔️ Lights (recommended—especially for early mornings or late evenings)
✔️ Plenty of water
✔️ Bike bags or racks to carry your gear
✔️ Tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad
✔️ Cookware + food for two days (or team up and share gear!)
✔️ The spirit of adventure
Highlights include:

🍺 Hermann Oktoberfest (Saturday night fun as a group!)
🔥 Camp setup and overnight under the stars

We’ll leave around 11:00 AM on Saturday, cruise into Hermann in the afternoon, enjoy the evening together, and pedal back Sunday, aiming to wrap up by 5:00 PM.
