Calling all Adventure Cubs, ages 0-5, and their favorite grownups for a morning of exploration, learning and fun! Embark on a new journey each month with a Zoo Educator as families get to learn and play together. Spend time taking part in engaging activities that will get you and your little one moving and creating. Each month, young explorers will learn about a new animal and will create a take-away memory that ties into the theme. At the end of the program, participants will receive a fun-to-go activity to do in the Zoo together. This is a great opportunity to make friends, connect to wildlife, and spend time with your little explorers discovering wildlife. All topics and activities are designed for ages 2-5, with opportunities for exploration for ages 0-2. Each month a new adventure awaits with new animals to observe. Adventure Cubs will explore a new region of the world to investigate the animals and environments there! The purpose of each program is to expose young children to the diversity of animals around the world and to draw connections to how we are similar and different. For each adventure they go on, Adventure Cubs will engage in an activity, read a story, and create a take-away memory.
In the winter months (November through February) and in inclement weather, the program will take place indoors in a socially distanced space. If the weather is nice, we will hold the program outside. Come dressed in layers ready to explore.
These programs will take place in-person. To ensure the safety of all participants and educators, families will be asked to wear masks and socially distance from each other. All activities will be led from a safe distance to ensure that they are still engaging while maintaining a minimum of 6 feet. We will continue to monitor all health reports and, with advance notice, reserve the right to cancel the program if necessary.
COST:
$20 for a parent/guardian and child (each additional child participant will be $4/each)*
MEMBER COST:
$15 for a parent/guardian and child (each additional child participant will be $4/each)*
