Learn how our local meadows, wildflowers and groundcovers create vibrant landscapes in your homes and communities.
About this Event
This landscaping talk focuses on how to create thriving habitats at our homes and communities using our natural areas as inspiration. Designing meadows full of wildflowers and grasses to restore biodiversity while reconnecting fragmented habitats with groundcovers is simple once we understand how nature designs its habitats to support wildlife, butterflies and pollinators.
Another important part of landscaping is utilizing keystone plants and understanding the “edge effect” and how recreating that will create diverse and interesting landscaping areas. This talk will also cover basic landscaping design, plant selection and how to attract butterflies and pollinators to your home by using Florida native plants.
