The King is Coming!The Kingdom of God is a major theme in God's holy history, from ‘the house and lineage of King David' to ‘King David's greater Son and Lord - Jesus‘. In these seasons of Advent and Christmas we are led by the Old Testament prophets through whom God spoke from the perspectives of their own times under the human kings of Israel and Judah with all their unrighteousness. The Word of God speaks of the greater divine-human King to come, whose kingdom will have no end, the Lord our Righteousness, Jesus! The good news for our every need is that Jesus is our King and we live under Him in His Kingdom as He reigns for the forgiveness of sins through His Church by His Word and sacraments.
