Advent Retreat with Dayspring Church. (You are welcome to join members of the Dayspring Church community and others for this Advent retreat. Dayspring Church is a part of the ecumenical Church of the Saviour community.) Mary and Joseph each received a life-changing invitation from God—an encounter that disrupted their plans and called forth radical trust. Mary’s “Let it be” and Joseph’s quiet obedience reveal two different but equally profound ways of saying yes to the invitation. In this Advent retreat, we will enter into their stories and explore the courage and trust that shaped their responses. Together, we will reflect on what it means for us to offer our own yes—whether in response to bold angelic announcements or to the quiet whispers of the Divine. In the company of Mary and Joseph, we will attune our hearts and ears to the call of God in our lives, considering how such a response can take shape in seasons of uncertainty, upheaval, or divine discontent.
