Advent Lessons and Carols

The acclaimed Choir of Saint James will offer holiday readings and music to help usher in the Christmas season. Works to be performed include:

Richard Marlow: Advent Responsory

Philip Moore: The Lord at first did Adam make

John Rutter: Suzi’s Carol

Anthony Baldwin: Behold, the Great Creator

Michael Head: The little road to Bethlehem

Benjamin Britten: Hymn to the Virgin

Ethan McGrath: There is no rose of such virtue

Ivo Antognini: Puer natus est

Due to ongoing renovations of our church building, this event will take place in the church's parish hall located directly across the courtyard from the church. Space is limited and early registration (free) is recommended. The service will also be streamed live at GreatMusicLA.org. All seats are first-come, first-served. Free Parking is available across from the front of the church at 3926 Wilshire Blvd.

DIRECTIONS FOR FREE PARKING:

IF DRIVING NORTH ON ST. ANDREWS AWAY FROM WILSHIRE: Turn left on 6th street; Turn left on Wilton Pl; Turn left on Wilshire; When arriving at 3926 Wilshire Blvd, turn into driveway and gate will automatically open. Park anywhere.This is the front entrance labeled “Neighborhood Housing Services of Los Angeles.”

IF DRIVING SOUTH ON ST. ANDREWS TOWARD WILSHIRE: Turn left on Wilshire, then an immediate right onto St. Andrew’s Place; Turn right on Ingraham; Turn right on S. Wilton Pl.; then turn right on Wilshire Blvd. When arriving at 3926 Wilshire Blvd, turn into driveway and gate will automatically open. Park anywhere.This is the front entrance labeled “Neighborhood Housing Services of Los Angeles.”
