Life can be daunting, filled with uncertainty and fears. Yet, one of the most repeated phrases in Scripture is "Do not be afraid." Those words are not just words of comfort; they are an invitation and a calling from God. This Christmas let’s reclaim that courage from the Gospel and discover how our lives, relationships, and communities can transform when we refuse to let fear hold us back.Refreshments will be served in the Welcome Center beginning at 6 p.m.; the celebration will begin at 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary. The speaker is Jen Wewers, the executive director of Prairie Sky Counseling Center. The designated charity for the evening is KC Mothers in Charge, whose mission is to reduce violent crime through prevention, education and intervention—and to support the families of victims.
Registration begins Nov. 1 (The event is free, but we are asking you to register for purposes of planning for refreshments, communion, and take-home materials.) Childcare is available. The service will be livestreamed. More details to come at villagepres.org/pw.
