What & Why “to do’s” after you receive the Referral for Dizziness or TBI-Concussion, PPPD, Peripheral Dizziness, and Fall Risk
About this Event

This advanced course provides clinicians with the skills to assess and manage complex vestibular disorders. Participants will gain hands-on experience with tools such as vHIT, VEMP, OCR, CDP, GST, and rotational chair testing. Emphasis is placed on interpreting results to distinguish central from peripheral dysfunctions and selecting appropriate assessments based on varied clinical presentations. Through case-based learning, guided practice, and live demonstrations, participants will develop proficiency in diagnostics and create tailored rehabilitation strategies.

Learning Objectives:

  • Synthesize vestibular anatomy and balance pathway knowledge to support clinical decision-making.
  • Perform advanced vestibular assessments including vHIT, VEMP, OCR, Balance Assessments, and rotational chair testing.
  • Interpret test results to differentiate between central and peripheral vestibular dysfunctions.
  • Apply case-based reasoning to select appropriate assessments for diverse symptom presentations (e.g., dizziness, TBI, PPPD).
  • Demonstrate hands-on proficiency with diagnostic tools through guided practice and peer collaboration.
  • Formulate targeted rehabilitation strategies based on assessment findings and patient-specific needs.
