This workshop will explore some rueda structures that change the overall shape of the rueda, and therefore give more options for directional transitions, as well as how to enter and exit from a normal rueda whilst maintaining the flow of the rueda. In order to join this workshop both leads and follows need to be able to confidently respond to common calls on time and be actively responsive to their positioning in a rueda.Never danced in different rueda structures before?
No problem! We will introduce the basic rules of each structure before exploring how common rueda calls can be adapted to work in these dynamic structures.
Not sure what to expect?
When dancing outside of basic rueda structures, both leads and follows play active roles, so adapting to a variety of types of rueda is a great skill to develop to build upon in later workshops or classes.
Do I have to pre-book this workshop?
YES! Many rueda structures do require even numbers of couples, therefore initially a restricted number of leader and follower passes will be made available, and a waiting list will operate. We will expand passes when we have enough participants to add another more couples, so don't forget to add your name to the waiting list if your role is sold out!
How do I book?
The price of the workshop is £12.50. For card payments please book using this link: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/rueda-de-amistad/t-krxpyrd or speak to Meg if paying cash (pre-payment is required to secure your place). Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that you will be able to dance if you don't pre-book!
