Join Garza Performance Horses and Clinician Vanessa Garza for another Advanced Performance Horsemanship Clinic at the beautiful Gilchrist Arena! If you've attended a previous Performance Horse clinic please note the material covered will be similar but the drills and implementation will CHANGE. As always, riders will be provided with notebooks of all drills to take home.
This clinic is geared toward riders looking for an intensive course to sharpen their tools in the performance horse maneuvers necessary to be successful in the Western Performance Horse disciplines. Are you a rider hoping to compete successfully in the Ranch Horse, Reining, or Extreme Cowboy events? This clinic is for you!
We will cover:
~Creating a solid foundation and putting finish on the turnaround, sidepass, and stop.
~Creating cadence and impulsion at the walk, trot, and lope.
~Improving rate and transitions
~Rider Mechanics
~Improving guiding and/or Prepping your horse to ride one handed in the bridle
~Introducing and/or finishing the lead change
This will be a day of HARD work focusing on filling the gaps in your horsemanship to help you get your horse to the next level. FUN, innovative drills throughout the day that you can take home and work on to sharpen your tools.
Cost to ride is $200 which includes a notebook with all exercises for each rider to take home. This clinic will be $50 to audit.
