Physicians and surgeons who deliver care to patients with chest wall abnormalities, like pectus excavatum, are invited to attend Phoenix Children’s Advanced Pectus Course, being held in Phoenix, Arizona, from October 13 – 14.Some of North America’s leading pectus surgeons on staff at Phoenix Children’s will share innovative and proven techniques for performing the Nuss procedure, the gold standard in corrective surgery for pectus excavatum, on patients of all ages. This advanced pectus course is designed to educate surgeons who currently perform the Nuss procedure in their practice and want to further improve outcomes.
Our team will also cover modifications for adult pectus patients, techniques for recurrent or failed prior surgery, rib plating and modifications for mixed defects. Attendees will also gain additional insights through patient case studies and hands-on exercises (in-person only) while learning evidence-based medicine designed to improve the safety of chest wall care.
Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit will be available, and a virtual course option is offered.
