About this Event
The Advanced Head, Neck and Thyroid Dissection Course 2024 is being brought to you by UCC/CoMH, and South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital. It will be held in The ASSERT Centre, College of Medicine & Health, UCC, Cork on Friday the 20th of September 2024.
This course is for ENT surgical trainees (ST3 to ST6) and NCHDs with a minimum of 2 years ENT experience. Participants will gain hands-on experience with open surgical dissection and reconstruction procedures on cadavers in our state of-the-art surgical skills laboratory. The simulated operating rooms feature integrated audio-visual facilities to allow for real time and postprocedure feedback from expert faculty. The course is practically based and there will be 2 participants per cadaver.
For 2024 we are introducing OBSERVER tickets. This is aimed at Intern to SHO level. Participants will have access to all didactic sessions and will be able to observe the open dissection and procedures taking place.
