About this Event
Welcome to In Nature!
Come and join us at the North Carolina Museum of Art for an advanced hands-on floral design workshop with Terry Godfrey AIFD EMC.
When the occasion calls for a design to comfort or provide support; the Enclosure Arrangement is a perfect choice. Inspired by a bird’s nest, an enclosure design is a versatile tool in the advanced designer’s repertoire. Just as birds surround their eggs and hatchlings to protect them from the elements, enclosures are a way to protect the precious blossoms on the inside. By providing a circular shelter structure, it invites the viewer to peek inside to enjoy the beauty within.
There are endless numbers of ways to create Enclosure Designs. They are fabulous as a base for European-style spiral bouquets, bridal bouquets, and arrangements of various sorts. In this workshop we will use natural materials to create a structure to surround gorgeous late spring blossoms.
