The year 2025 marks the centennial of arguably the most important records in American music, the Louis Armstrong and His Hot Five sessions.
This lecture/listening session will discuss Louis Armstrong’s most influential recordings, and the impact of his solo work on jazz history. Through listening and analysis, we will experience Armstrong’s evolution and how it is still impacts jazz musicians today.
No musical experience is required to enjoy this workshop.
