About this Event
Join us to experiment and create a work of art inspired by Matthew Mahoney’s ink sketches in the exhibition. We’ll start the workshop with a tour of the exhibition before we dive into artmaking. Led by Carter Community Artist Dan Jian, we’ll learn introductory techniques to working with ink before making our own artworks to take home. Jian will demonstrate various ink techniques and use drawing tools, including brushes, bamboo pens, and ink pens, to create different ink effects. No previous experience necessary and all materials provided.
Carter Members can attend the Adult Workshop for free; there is a $10 per person supply fee for non-members. Not a member? Join today!
American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation may be provided during this event upon advance request.
