This is an amazing two hour workshop where students will construct and glaze one ghost shaped soon rest. This piece will be made using the slab handbuilidng method which is a process of constructing with clay without the use of the pottery wheel. What to expect: Students will make a small spoon rest in the shape of a ghost, then after allowing it to dry a little, they will apply their underglaze color choices to the surface. Color Choices: White, Black, and Orange.
No prior experience is necessary, all levels are welcome. This workshop is for adults and kids over 12 years old.
After pieces are completed, they will need to be dried and fire in the kiln.
**Pick up of completed glazed fired pieces will be ready 2-3 weeks after the workshop.** Price includes instruction, ceramic tools, clay, glazes, and kiln firing fees. Workshops are all small group, maximum 7 participants. When fully complete, pieces are functional, food safe, and ready to use.
