Join The Studio and Amanda as she shares her love of sewing with her community. In this workshop attendees will learn to operate a sewing machine and make a quilted bookmark. This is such a valuable skill and we can’t wait for you to join us!
Price: Two ticket options:
1. Whole workshop $65: This choice is good for someone that has little to no knowledge of sewing and operating a sewing machine.From 10am-11:45 we will learn the basics of machine operation and the second half, 12-2pm, we will learn to make a quilted bookmark. depending on your pace, you may be able to create multiple bookmarks.
2. Second half of workshop $50: This choice is good for someone that already knows how to operate their machine but is interested in extra practice and guidance in finishing a simple project. This half of the workshop will go from 2-4pm.

Note****This class is NON-REFUNDABLE but it is transferable.

We are located on the corner of 20th and D street in downtown Bakersfield.
Time:
Saturday 1/18
Full workshop: 10am-2pm
We will be taking a snack break 11:45am-12pm
Second half: 12-2pm
What is provided:
Sewing machines, tools, thread, and material for bookmarks.
Light snacks and water
What to bring:
Reusable water bottle
Snacks (we are providing snacks, but you are also welcome to bring your own)
Sewing machine- If you own one (NOT REQUIRED, only encouraged if you are learning)
Material- If you would like to use your own fabric, we will be using scrap cotton fabrics, having 1/4 of a yard of fabric is enough for the workshop (NOT REQUIRED)
