MHFA teaches you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of a mental health or substance use challenge. This training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone and help connect them to the appropriate care. These trainings are sponsored by Huntington and focused on employees of small businesses (gross annual revenue of $1M>) with preference to those serving low to moderate income level households (ALICE; Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed). After completing a 2-hour, self-paced online course, First Aiders will participate in 5-6 hours of in-person, instructor-led training together on September 8 from 9am to 3pm. Lunch is included and there is a $25.00 non-refundable fee to cover user materials and MHFA system registration.
