Description:
Join us for the Adult Mental Health First Aid Training, part of our Monday Series, designed to help participants identify, understand, and respond to signs of addiction and mental illness or crisis. This comprehensive 8-hour training will empower you to:
• Recognize the symptoms of mental health issues and substance use disorders.
• Provide initial support to individuals in crisis.
• Connect individuals to appropriate care and resources.
Prerequisites:
Participants must successfully complete self-paced prerequisite work in MHFA Connect before being admitted to the classroom.
Continuing Education Credits:
• 7.5 Nursing Contact Hours available.
• Approved by the Alaska Nurses Association as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Montana Nurses Association, an accredited approver with distinction by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Training Focus:
• Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA): For adults assisting peers or community members.
