Kevin Wong is the current artistic director of the Flying Angels Chinese Dance Company. He holds an MFA in Experimental Choreography and a BA in Dance with an Education minor from UC Riverside. He has been an active member of the Flying Angels for over twenty years and continues to explore Chinese dance through his studies and pedagogy. He has taught various workshops and classes with Flying Angels, the HEart with LINES program, UC Riverside, and various companies looking for education in various cultures. Drawing from his vast repertoire of styles including Contemporary, Hip Hop, and of course, Chinese Folk, Kevin hopes to inspire each student to find their own love and passion of dance through the elements of choreography, performance, and improvisation. With these classes, he hopes to expand access to Chinese dance practices through traditional and contemporary approaches to the dance form.
